What Paraxanthine Does
Paraxanthine wakes you up the same way caffeine does, by temporarily blocking adenosine, the chemical that builds up over the course of the day and tells your brain it is tired.
Paraxanthine produces a small, clean rise in dopamine through a pathway caffeine does not touch. And in lab research it has been shown to protect the brain cells that make dopamine, which caffeine doesn't.
Clinical studies back this up. In one trial, healthy adults taking 100 to 200mg of Paraxanthine (btw, Blip pouches contain 100mg each) did better on memory, reasoning, and sustained-attention tests than those given a placebo, with effects appearing the same day.
A separate trial found it helped people hold their focus across a six-hour stretch, the kind of endurance most stimulants cannot manage.
Why It Beats Caffeine at When You Actually Want to Sleep at Night
Caffeine lingers. Its half-life (the time it takes your body to clear half a dose), runs about 4-5 hours in most adults and stretches to 8-9 hours in slow metabolizers (about one third of all people). A 2 p.m. coffee can still be in your bloodstream at midnight, quietly blocking the sleep signal your brain is trying to send.
Paraxanthine clears faster, with a half-life of around 3 hours, and it runs through a different liver pathway, so the slow caffeine metabolizers who struggle with coffee do not necessarily struggle with it the same way. It leaves your system sooner and more predictably.
